Mr. Nishimura became an Executive Director at EnBioTec Laboratories Co., Ltd. (EBTL), biotechnology based venture company in Tokyo in May 2001. He is responsible for corporate strategy and business development.

Mr. Nishimura founded In Situ Solutions Co., Ltd. (ISS) as a daughter company of EBTL in January 2003 and became its President and CEO. ISS is a consulting and engineering firm for soil and groundwater restoration applying in situ cleanup technologies such as bioremediation and chemical oxidation.

Mr. Nishimura founded Land Concierge Co., Ltd. (LC), another daughter company of EBTL and became its Director in August 2006. LC is an internet based consulting firm that help customers to design appropriate solution and to choose excellent technology vendors for soil and groundwater restoration.

He has worked for the national government and local governments as a member of committees regarding environment policy and technology issues such as assessment, cleanup, and biotechnology since 1993.

After starting his professional career in 1981 at a private corporation in Japan, Mr. Nishimura joined The Japan Research Institute (JRI) in May 1990. He focused on business incubation to solve environment issues such as soil and groundwater contamination, waste minimization, recycling, and environment management. The most remarkable achievement of his professional career at JRI from 1990 through 2001 was incubation of environment restoration business using biotechnology called bioremediation.

In addition to these activities, he served a session chair of In Situ and On-Site International Bioremediation Symposium held by Battelle Memorial Institute from 1993 through 2001.

Mr. Nishimura was born in 1958. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at the Osaka University in 1981.
