Social Mission Work:
Watanabe started introducing social entrepreneurs(those who work for dual goals of money making and social issue solutions) in USA and in Europe to Japanese audience since 2000.
The stories and portraits of almost 100 men and women have been introduced in publications such as PEN(Hankyu Publications), Mme Figaro Japon(Hankyu Publications), and Priv.(Nikkei BP).

“Changemakers : Social Entrepreneurs are Changing the World “(18 human stories and portraits of social entrepreneurs) was published in August 2005 by Nikkei Business Publishing. The book was selected as one of the three textbooks to be used in ‘Social Innovation’ course at KEIO Univ. graduate school opened in fall 2005 as the first social entrepreneurship- related course in Japan.
“Changemakers-II : Working as a Social Entrepreneur” was published in November 2007.
